Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of Timur (Tamerlane), is a historic city in southern Uzbekistan known for its monumental 14th–15th century Timurid architecture and archaeological remains. Visitors encounter the reconstructed Ak-Saray Palace façade, the Dorut Tilavat complex, and centuries-old madrasa fragments set among broad public squares and mulberry-lined streets.
