Trust me on this one - the sweet spot for visiting Sampov Meas is during the dry season, between November and April. I learned this the hard way during a particularly soggy visit in July! The cooler months of December and January are especially pleasant, with temperatures that won't leave you completely drenched in sweat.

But here's a little insider tip: if you're okay with occasional rain showers and wanna see the surrounding countryside at its most gorgeous and green, consider visiting in early November. The rice fields are stunning then, and you'll catch the tail end of the wet season when everything's lush but the heavy rains have mostly passed.

How to Get There

Getting to Sampov Meas isn't exactly a walk in the park, but that's part of what makes it special. The most common route is taking a bus from Phnom Penh - it's about a 4-hour journey on National Highway 5. I've done this trip several times, and lemme tell you, the scenery along the way is worth the somewhat bumpy ride!

If you're coming from Battambang, you can catch a shared taxi or minivan. The journey takes roughly 2.5 hours.
