## Les Hortillonnages (Amiens): guided “barque à cornet” tour — what it is, where it starts, what’s confirmed

Les Hortillonnages are a large network of cultivated plots and canals in Amiens, historically worked by market gardeners (“hortillons”). Multiple tourism sources describe the site as roughly 300 hectares of greenery and waterways, shaped by generations of local growers and explored today by boat along narrow canals (“rieux”). This specific attraction—“Les Hortillonnages : visites guidées en barque à cornet traditionnelle”—refers to the guided boat tour operated by the local preservation association (Association de Protection et de Sauvegarde du Site et de l’Environnement des Hortillonnages). Tourisme

## Practical access and inclusivity notes (only what’s explicitly stated)

– Amiens’ tourism site has a dedicated page about accessible guided boat visits (“visites guidées accessibles en barques”), referencing traditional ‘barques à cornet’ and the association at 54 boulevard de Beauvillé. This indicates the destination tourism office is explicitly framing the activity within an accessibility context (details may vary by date/boat/conditions). Tourisme

## What may be time-sensitive (flagged as potentially outdated)

### Prices / “Tarifs”
– The association’s pricing page is labeled “Tarifs 2026” and confirms the 45-minute guided visit and the 54 Boulevard de Beauvillé embarkation point. Prices, discounts, and conditions can change across seasons and years, so treat any “tarifs” page as the canonical source right before publishing or visiting. Hortillonnages

### Opening dates/hours
– One regional tourism write-up states the traditional guided visits run 1 April to 31 October (and references 45 minutes). Season dates and daily schedules can shift year to year due to staffing, water conditions, or operational changes, so it’s worth checking the operator’s official “dates et horaires d’ouverture” section if you’re publishing time-specific details. You asked for two contextual internal links, but I can’t verify RealJourneyTravels.com’s Amiens / Hauts-de-France URL structure from the information provided here, so adding specific internal URLs would require guessing (and would not be “100% known”).
