Best Time to Visit

From my experience living in Sri Lanka, the best time to check out Katugas Ella Falls is during the dry season, which runs from December to April. The water flow is just right then – not too fierce but still impressive enough for those Instagram-worthy shots. Early morning visits, like around 7-8 AM, are absolutely magical when the sun’s rays hit the water just right.

Avoid visiting during the monsoon season (May to September) because the water can get pretty wild and the rocks become super slippery. How to Get There
