Buzz Lightyear

This interactive dark ride transports visitors into the animated world of Toy Story, where they become rookie space rangers on a mission to defeat the nefarious Emperor Zurg.

As you board your XP-37 Space Cruiser, you’re immediately thrust into a cosmic battleground filled with vibrant, glowing targets and whimsical alien adversaries. The slow-moving, spinning nature of the ride allows passengers to fully immerse themselves in the experience, taking aim with their mounted laser cannons and racking up points throughout the journey.

While the attraction’s premise is simple, its execution is nothing short of enchanting. The ride’s clever design incorporates a mix of physical sets and projected elements, creating a dynamic environment that feels both tactile and otherworldly. Keen-eyed visitors might spot hidden targets or discover tricks to maximize their scores, adding a layer of replayability to each visit.

However, it’s worth noting that the attraction isn’t without its quirks. Some visitors have reported that the ride can be prone to technical difficulties, potentially leading to longer wait times. Additionally, the age of the attraction is beginning to show, with some enthusiasts suggesting that a refurbishment could breathe new life into this beloved experience.

Despite these minor setbacks, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin remains a cornerstone of the Magic Kingdom experience. Its blend of nostalgia, interactivity, and family-friendly competition continues to delight guests of all ages, making it a must-visit attraction for those seeking to unleash their inner space cadet and save the galaxy, one laser blast at a time.
