### Where It Is and How to Navigate

The complex sits within the urban fabric of Rahim Yar Khan. OpenStreetMap data places the sports grounds just north of the railway corridor and within walking/short-drive distance of the **Rahim Yar Khan Railway Station** and the **General Bus Stand**. If you’re navigating without a street address, share the **coordinates** or **Plus Code** with your driver; these work well with Google Maps and offline apps. (https://mapcarta.com/W650816798)

### What Facilities Are Confirmed

– **Cricket:** Marked explicitly in open geodata for the complex; the location shows a consistent record of local matches on CricHeroes (with dated scorecards), indicating regular organized use. (https://mapcarta.com/W650816798)
– **Football & Hockey:** Both sports are tagged for the venue in OpenStreetMap’s feature data. (https://mapcarta.com/W650816798)
– **Football & Basketball (community mentions):** The Facebook page references these sports; treat as indicative rather than an official facility list. (https://www.facebook.com/AbbasiaSportsComplexRYK/?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

> **Accuracy note:** Open-data tags (like OSM) and community pages provide ground-truth orientation but aren’t formal facility brochures. Use them to confirm the **type of pitches** and **location**, then verify specifics (changing rooms, lights, booking rules) directly on-site or with organizers.

### Booking & Match Days: What We Can Verify

– **CricHeroes listing:** The complex appears on **CricHeroes** (a popular grassroots cricket platform) with past match logs dating back several years. That shows the ground is used for league or club fixtures; examples include matches recorded in **2019**, **2021**, and **2024**. The page headline markets “Book Abbasia Sports Complex,” but fees and official booking contacts aren’t published there; organizers typically coordinate directly. – **Community updates:** A public Facebook post references a *revitalization/renovation initiative* at the complex, described as a plan to transform it into a “model center.” Because this is a social post (not an official government tender notice), treat it as **informational** rather than formal policy. If renovation is ongoing, it could affect pitch availability. ### Practical Tips (Evidence-Led)

– **Carry the coordinates:** The venue doesn’t have a widely cited street address; coordinates or Plus Codes reduce mis-routing. (https://mapcarta.com/W650816798)
– **Confirm schedule with organizers:** Since CricHeroes shows frequent club/league use but no centralized booking contact, verify your pitch slot directly with the tournament organizer or club captain. (https://cricheroes.com/cricket-ground-detail/76977/rahim-yar-khan/abbasia-sports-complex?utm_source=chatgpt.com)
– **Expect variable facilities:** OSM confirms the *type* of pitches (cricket/football/hockey) but does not guarantee floodlights, changing rooms, or spectator seating—check locally before committing to evening fixtures. (https://mapcarta.com/W650816798)
– **Watch for renovation impacts:** If the referenced upgrade project is active, areas of the complex may be temporarily closed or reassigned. Cross-check recency on community pages just before your visit. ### Data Quality & Freshness Checks

– **OpenStreetMap/Mapcarta data** confirm precise **location** and **sports tags** (cricket, football, hockey) and provide nearby points of interest with distances. This is the most concrete, source-traceable information available today. (https://mapcarta.com/W650816798)
– **CricHeroes** verifies **historic and recent cricket activity** at the ground, indicating ongoing usage by clubs/leagues. It does not publish official fees or municipal contacts. (https://cricheroes.com/cricket-ground-detail/76977/rahim-yar-khan/abbasia-sports-complex?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

### Accessibility & Inclusivity

There is **no authoritative, published specification** for wheelchair access, seating capacity, or restroom facilities for Abbasia Sports Complex in the sources above. ### What Might Be Outdated or Unverified

– **Facility inventory (e.g., floodlights, locker rooms), opening hours, and any “official” booking channel** are **not** listed on municipal or official pages we could verify today.
